More than a bed. A home — with support that makes sense.
We've been running 24/7 staffed residential programs since 2024, starting with a 6-bed group home for individuals living with HIV, hepatitis C, and mental health challenges who were at risk of homelessness. That home taught us something important: when you combine clinical support with a stable, compassionate environment, people don't just survive — they start to build a life.
What Makes a Kwel Home Different
24/7 staffing — awake, trained, present
Clinical oversight — Registered Nurses supervise medication, health monitoring, and coordination with doctors
Harm reduction — not a separate program, but how we care
Real meals — prepared on-site, shared together
Community connection — outings, relationships, a life beyond the front door
Who We Support
Adults with developmental disabilities who need more than basic care
People living with HIV or hepatitis C who need medication support in a stable setting
Folks with mental health and substance use challenges who've been turned away elsewhere
Indigenous, Black, and racialized community members who deserve culturally safe care
Anyone at risk of homelessness who needs a place to land and something to build on
